Our Arm CARE Program
We at Ninth Inning Baseball are revolutionizing the way we train our athletes arms through our ARM CARE PROGRAM. We now have the technology to monitor, track, and test the motion and capabilities of our athletes. Using all of the technology at our disposal, our professional staff is able to teach each athlete how to properly sequence the arm action in the most efficient way, as well as how to utilize the kinetic chain for maximum power and efficiency. Results don’t lie! Our athletes have gained anywhere between 5-18 mph after completing our program last year!
Certified Coaching & Instruction
Instruction and coaching is provided by our professional Driveline Certified instructors that have the knowledge and understanding of the Driveline program, including kinetic chain and biomechanical analysis. Coaching consists of constant monitoring of the athletes to make sure drills and programs are being utilized correctly while capturing and inputting data to track progression.
Driveline
Driveline is a scientific based program that founded groundbreaking research in throwing development. This program involves a strict regimen that ensures athletes get the most out of their training. The Driveline program is concentrated on pre-throw routines, Constraint Drills and recovery routines. Sports Science research has proven that constraint training is the most advantageous way to effect mechanical change.
Constraint Drills
Constraint drills will effectively repair movement patterns and create more efficient arm actions. In an effort to create a more efficient arm action, we incorporate weighted balls to minimize the torque on the arm by slowing down the movements. This allows the athlete to feel the proper movement.
Functional Movement Screen
We utilize slow-motion recording of our athletes in motion to more accurately identify and personalize the programming for each athlete. Our technology allows us to not only track data and give the athletes instant feedback on how they are delivering a pitch, but it also allows us to see exactly how the body moves and in turn identify what areas we can improve.
Arm Care Program Phases
We host two separate “seasons” of our Arm Care Program. Our September-February phase is focused on building strength and power. Heading into March and tournament season, we will be shifting gears towards our maintenance phase. Our In-Season Maintenance program will be lighter on the body and increase the amount of mound work. Testing will be done in the months of September, December, March, and June.
Dates and Times
We hold classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8pm. Classes begin in September and conclude in June of the following year. Pay as you go and per session allowing clients to start and stop their program at their convenience. Only pay for sessions you attend!
To gain maximum benefit from our program, it is recommended for each athlete to attend 1-2 sessions per week for at least two months.
